Today the port of Aktau was visited by a Chinese delegation led by the deputy governor of Changzhou City, Jiangsu Province.
According to Mr. Shen Itszun, Changzhou produces a large number of textiles exported to various countries around the world, and a large number of engineering enterprises producing textile equipment are concentrated here.
In the framework of TMTM, in 2017 cargo was shipped through Aktau port, Mr. Shen noted, and now the Chinese side has an intention to continue the development of this route. To this end, they visited Mangistau, met with the leadership of the region and believe that Aktau has far-reaching prospects, the region has unique opportunities to create a transport and logistics hub in order to develop international trade and has all the prerequisites for further mutually beneficial cooperation.
Mr. Shen pointed that in 2018, Changzhou intends to start exporting its products directly through Aktau, that is why it is very important for them to receive an established service and guarantees of quality fast cargo transshipment. In the future, they would like to create their warehouse base in Aktau for distribution of cargo in different directions.
Aktau Port President Abai Turikpenbaev assured the members of the Chinese delegation of the full readiness of the port to carry out container transportation in the required volumes with high quality of service.
