A.O. Issekeshev the final Zoom meeting of the expert group on the preparation of proposals for the meetings of the Interdepartmental Commission on Economic Security of the Security Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the direction of “transport and transit security” was held.

Information on the current state of water transport, as well as the current problematic issues affecting the development of Kazakhstani ports and the domestic merchant fleet, was presented by the Chairman of the Board (President) of JSC “NC “Sea port of Aktau” Abai Turikpenbayev.

As the head of Aktau port noted, in order to increase the share of Kazakhstan in the Caspian market, taking into account the building of the principle “your cargo – your port – your fleet”, measures of state support are needed both in terms of eliminating administrative barriers and assistance in containerizing promising cargo state support in the form of budget lending for the acquisition of new merchant ships and the provision of national personnel to the sailing staff.
