Passage of transit cargoes on TITR has been reduced by half.

According to the press relations service of the Government of Kazakhstan, on March 3, 2023, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Alikhan Smailov, dedicated to measures for the development of TITR route.

In particular, it is noted that due to the active work on the Kazakhstani section of the route, the transit time for transit cargo through the territory of the republic has been halved compared to last year: from 12 to 6 days. This indicator is planned to be increased to 5 days by the end of 2023.

In general, the delivery time of goods from China to the Black Sea ports within the framework of TITR has already decreased from 38-53 to 19-23 days, and by the end of the current year it should reach 14-18 days.

Among the measures aimed at further modernization of infrastructure facilities on the route, Aktau port projects were discussed to create a container hub, upgrade the fleet of transshipment equipment and restore oil berths.

In addition, it is planned to build a new berth in the port of Kuryk, launch a multifunctional and grain terminal. It is also expected that 10 oil barges, 8 ferries, 6 tankers and a container ship will start operating in the Caspian by 2030.
