European diplomacy is increasingly interested in alternative routes for the delivery of various cargoes from the countries of Central and Southeast Asia in the direction of European trade markets.

As part of his working visit to the Mangystau region, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Didier Canessa, accompanied by an employee of the economic department of the Embassy, Mr. Najjar Thomas, visited Aktau port and got acquainted with the production processes of the sea harbor.

During the visit, the head of Aktau port, Abay Turikpenbayev, briefed the French diplomats on the achievements of the port, strategic priorities, goals and objectives, including both the development of new logistics routes and the issues of technical re-equipment.
