On October 13-14, 2021, the III International Conference “Transport and Logistics Market” was held in Almaty in the framework of the 24th Kazakhstan International Exhibition “Transport and Logistics”

In the thematic session dedicated to the maritime infrastructure of Kazakhstan, Chairman of the Board (President) of JSC “Sea port of Aktau” Abai Turikpenbayev made a presentation, noting the increasing role of containerization and measures taken by the Aktau port in this promising direction.

“At Aktau port, new services will be created for the storage and accumulation of containers of world container lines (MSC, CMA CGM, MAERSK, etc.), which will provide an opportunity for medium and long-term planning of container traffic, the formation of a container fleet for the countries of the Caspian region and Central Asia and will create favorable conditions for clients for the delivery of their cargo to the port, both by road and railway rolling stock for further shipment of these goods in containers” A. Turikpenbaev noted.

Conference participants discussed global prospects for the development of the logistics market in Central Asia, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the international logistics market, as well as modern logistics trends.
