The heads of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and transport departments of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Turkey attended the first meeting in Baku, where they discussed issues of trade, economic, transit, transport and energy cooperation in the context of large-scale geopolitical transformation.

Special attention was paid to the development of Trans-Caspian International Transport Route, which is of paramount importance for increasing the transit potential of all countries participating in the meeting.

The parties agreed to intensify the implementation of joint projects dedicated to simplification of operations and procedures through this corridor, in particular the development of “soft” and “hard” infrastructure and digitalization.

The unity of approaches to the main directions of development of the transport potential and the interest expressed at the government level, definitely, speak of the imminent implementation of the planned agreements.

Abai Turikpenbaev, Chairman of the Executive Board (President) of JSC “Sea port of Aktau” also took part in the high-format meeting.

The parties agreed to establish a tripartite working group to develop cooperation in the field of transport. The representatives of the port of Aktau port will be of the members of this expected group.
