In the period from November 21 to 23 this year, a meeting of representatives of various departments of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization countries was held in Qingdao (China), dedicated to promoting the cross-border transport potential of the organization’s member countries.

The extensive program of the event includes a visit to the SCO International Exhibition Center, the port and airport of Qingdao, as well as bilateral consultations with groups of Shandong ports and airports.

According to the organizers, the meeting is designed to promote the implementation of agreements reached by all SCO member states at the third Forum of International Cooperation “One Belt, One Road”, held in Beijing in October this year with the participation of heads of state and government.

The full use of the potential of cross-border transport between the SCO countries, as well as the creation of new growth points for cooperation was discussed during corporate sessions.

In turn, the Chairman of the Management Board of “NC “AKTAU SEA COMMERCIAL PORT” JSC Abai Turikpenbayev shared in his report the long-term plans for the development and expansion of the capacities of the Aktau seaport, which will meet any needs for cargo transportation.
