Representatives of the OSCE Program Office in Nur-Sultan Rati Japaridze (Head of Economics and Ecology Department) and Bibigul Izbair (Senior Project Assistant) visited Sea port of Aktau upon invitation of JSC “Sea port of Aktau”.
It has been already informed that Sea port of Aktau is successfully implementing the OSCE project – “Development of Green Ports and Cooperation in the Caspian Sea Region”. Upon completion of the project, it is expected that Sea port of Aktau will receive EcoPort status proving the fact that Sea port of Aktau conducts modern services in accordance with the environmental parameters of the European Sea Ports Organization (ESPO).
A certificate “Self-diagnosis Method” (SDM) received by JSC “Sea port of Aktau” is an intermediate result of the work done under the project. And today, Sea port of Aktau is taking important steps towards being certified by the Port Environmental Review System (PERS) in compliance with the OSCE recommendations.
